For technical reasons, the following data, which your Internet browser transmits to us or to our web space provider, is collected when you visit the website (so-called server log files):

Browser information

Operating system information

Website address from which you visit us (referrer URL)

Website address that you visit

Time of access

IP address

This anonymous data is stored separately from any personal data you may have provided and therefore does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about a specific person. They are evaluated for statistical purposes in order to optimize our website and our offers.

Collection and processing of personal data

Visiting and operating our website

When you visit our website purely to obtain information, i.e. if you do not transmit personal data to us in any other way, the personal data that your browser transmits to our server is collected for technical reasons. This data processing is based on our legitimate interest in presenting our association to the outside world and presenting our work and our services. We therefore process the data transmitted in the context of the technically required cookies for this purpose. We only process personal data that is not absolutely necessary for the operation of the website if the corresponding consent has been given in the course of the cookie banner or subsequently in the individual data protection settings.

This consent can also be revoked at any time by changing the data protection settings in the cookie settings.

To determine how you use cookies, adjustments can be made in the respective browser settings. All third-party cookies are deactivated by default. You can activate them via the cookie banner that is displayed when you first visit our website. If certain cookies are not accepted, this may affect the functionality of various content on our website. You can change your cookie settings here: Cookie settings

Cookies

Cookies are small text files that are stored in the memory of the device you are using to access the Internet and are assigned to the browser you are using. In order to make the use of our website more effective and user-friendly, cookies are stored on your device when you visit our website, which can also provide us with information (depending on the cookie). However, cookies cannot execute programs or transfer malware to your device.

Our website uses

Strictly necessary cookies

Transient cookies; these are automatically deleted after closing the browser or by “logging out”. These include, in particular, session cookies, which are used to store a so-called session ID, with which various requests from your browser can be assigned to the shared session. This allows your device/computer to be recognized when the website is accessed again.

Optional cookies

These are divided into several categories and can be activated or deactivated using the slider. Please note that if you deactivate them, some content on our website may not be displayed correctly or at all.

Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc (“Google”). The use is made on the legal basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f.

GDPR (consent of the data subject).

Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website, such as

Browser type/version,

operating system used,

Referrer URL (the previously visited page),

Host name of the accessing computer (IP address),

time of the server request,

are generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Anonymization of the IP address

The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data. We have also added the code “anonymizeIP” to Google Analytics on this website.

This guarantees that your IP address is masked so that all data is collected anonymously. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.

Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.

We continue to use Google Analytics to analyze data from double-click cookies and AdWords for statistical purposes. If you do not want this, you can deactivate this via the Ads Preferences Manager (http://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/?hl=de).

Further information on data protection in connection with Google Analytics can be found in the Google Analytics help section (https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de).

Use of YouTube

Our website uses a plugin of the YouTube service operated by Google. The operator is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. The use is made on the legal basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f. GDPR (consent of the data subject).

If you visit one of our pages equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is immediately established. The YouTube server is informed which of our pages you are visiting and have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you therefore enable YouTube to assign your surfing behavior directly to your personal profile. However, you can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand.

Further information on the handling of user data and data protection can be found on the respective Google pages.

Use of Google Maps

We use “Google Maps” from Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter “Google”, on the website. The use takes place on the legal basis of Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f. GDPR (consent of the data subject) and Art. 6 para. 6 sentence 1 lit. f. GDPR.

Each time “Google Maps” is called up, Google sets a cookie to process user settings and data when the website on which “Google Maps” is embedded is displayed. As a rule, this cookie is not deleted when the browser is closed, but expires after a certain period of time, unless you delete it manually beforehand.

If you do not agree to this processing of your data, you have the option of deactivating “Google Maps” and thus preventing the transfer of data to Google. To do this, you must deactivate the “Javascript” function in your browser. This can significantly restrict or completely prevent the use of “Google Maps”.

The use of “Google Maps” and the information obtained via “Google Maps” is subject to the terms of use of Google http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/terms/regional.html and the additional terms and conditions for “Google Maps” https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/help/terms_maps.html.

Embedded content from other websites

Posts on this website may contain embedded content (e.g. videos, images, posts, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if the visitor had visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking services and record your interaction with this embedded content, including your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to this website.

Additional personal data such as your name, address, telephone number or e-mail address will not be collected unless you voluntarily and actively provide this information at a designated place (e.g. as part of a newsletter registration, an information request via a contact form, through other specific form fields or login or registration masks on the respective website, etc.). This data is not transferred to third parties (not mentioned here).

Data storage, data access and data security

Our website is hosted by a specialized service provider. Since we also rent servers from this service provider, the service provider’s ability to access the aforementioned data is contractually limited to the minimum technically necessary. These are the following service providers:

Data (see above) that is stored as a result of your visit to our website will be stored by us and the above-mentioned service providers for a maximum period of 30 days and will be deleted automatically, unless a more specific period is specified in the other sections of this statement.

Contact via contact form, e-mail, letter, telephone or fax

When you contact us, the data you provide (name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and any other case-specific data) will be stored in order to answer your questions, process your request quickly and contact you again. The data collected in this context will be deleted unless a contract is concluded between us and as soon as storage is no longer required or data processing will be restricted to the statutory minimum if statutory retention periods are provided for. If a contract is concluded, the data protection declaration in the contract is relevant for data processing.

Unless a contract is being prepared or concluded (e.g. in the case of a course registration or inquiries about it) or we have legitimate interests (e.g. information about further offers to members or customers), the legal basis is the consent to processing implicitly given in the course of making contact. This consent can be revoked at any time using the contact details provided above (under “Security and anonymity”), whereby we would like to point out that it will then no longer be possible to process your request. In any case, the provision of the requested data is necessary for the conclusion of a contract.

If necessary, we will also pass on the personal data to service providers (e.g. if you have indicated an interest in course bookings, etc.). We will point this out separately if necessary.

Job applications

If you send us an application, your application data will be collected and processed electronically by us for the purpose of processing the application procedure on the basis of the potential conclusion of a contract. If your application is followed by the conclusion of an employment contract, your submitted data may be stored by us in your personnel file for the purpose of the usual organizational and administrative process in compliance with the relevant legal regulations.

The deletion of the data transmitted by you will take place after rejection of your job application at the latest two months after notification of the rejection. This does not apply if longer storage is necessary due to legal requirements (e.g. the burden of proof under the General Equal Treatment Act) or if you have expressly consented to longer storage in our database of interested parties.

Data security

We take all necessary and appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from loss and misuse. Your data is stored in a secure, state-of-the-art operating environment.

Access to our websites is secured via HTTPS. This means that communication between your device and our servers is encrypted.

If you wish to contact us or our employees by email, we would like to point out that the confidentiality of the information transmitted is not guaranteed. Due to their technical design, the content of emails can be viewed by third parties unless special technical security measures are taken

Your rights

In accordance with Art. 13 (2) lit. b) GDPR, you have a right of access, rectification or erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing and data portability with regard to the personal data concerning you.

In addition, pursuant to Art. 13 (2) lit. d) GDPR, you have the right to complain to the data protection authority about the processing of your personal data by us.

Depending on the nature and scope of your request, it may also be necessary for you to prove your identity in a suitable form in order to exercise your rights.

Information based on repeated requests for information is subject to a fee in accordance with Art. 15 (3) GDPR. Please also note that the right to receive a copy pursuant to Art. 15 (1) lit. b) GDPR must not adversely affect the rights and freedoms of others.

This privacy policy refers to the current legal situation. We expressly reserve the right to make future changes or adjustments. We therefore recommend that you read this privacy policy regularly to stay informed about the use of personal data.
